CADES offers a continuum of high quality, supportive services for children and adults with intellectual and physical disabilities.

About The Adult Day Program

We believe it is important for everyone, no matter their abilities, to be able to make choices about their life, and to have the dignity and self-respect that independence allows. With this in mind, the Adult Day Program at CADES is designed to provide the appropriate supports for individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities so that they may realize their potential in the areas of their choosing.

Within the warm and supportive environment of our year round program, individuals form new social connections, discover interests, kindle enthusiasms, and pursue activities key to their health. Our dedicated professional staff works with each individual, exploring their unique talents. Local outings and time spent with community volunteers foster inclusion. Working in teams, under the coordination of a Program Specialist, we work hard to meet program goals as well as to ensure the personal care needs of each individual are met. An occupational therapist is available for consultation. On-site nursing is also available to provide medication, specialized treatment, and coordination with families and caregivers to optimize the health and safety of each individual.

Our adults are a valued part of the CADES community, and take part in events as well as contribute skills, such as watering and harvesting the vegetable garden in the summer. We offer many opportunities to make choices about activities and developing life skills. Our program, which meets Monday through Friday, has become an important resource in our community, and to all those who attend.
