CADES offers a continuum of high quality, supportive services for children and adults with intellectual and physical disabilities.

About Transportation Services

Our fleet of vans provides safe, adapted transportation services within our own programs as well as to Early Intervention and other School Age programs through contracts with the Delaware County Intermediate Unit and individual school districts. In addition, we provide transportation to enable our numerous community outings for the George Crothers Memorial School. All fees for early intervention and school age transportation are included in the regular program funding. There are no additional costs to the families.

All CADES transportation provides curb-to-curb service. Lift equipped services are available. Each vehicle is staffed with a male/female team of a driver and an escort. Although not mandated, it is our belief that the safety of our passengers is best served when an escort is present on each vehicle. All of our drivers meet rigorous standards of excellence, including mandated yearly physicals, a State Police background check, and annual MVR checks of driving records.

For individuals residing at home, door-to-door Adult Day Program transportation is provided by CCT Connect Paratransit and is typically funded through the Office of Intellectual Disabilities. Adults living in community living arrangements (CLA) are typically transported by their respective CLA. As part of the enrollment process for the Adult Day Program, each family is assisted with arranging and funding transportation to the program.
