CADES offers a continuum of high quality, supportive services for children and adults with intellectual and physical disabilities.

About Residential Services

The Residential Services program at CADES consists of a remarkable team of people dedicated to the vision of a vibrant community life for people of all abilities. Offering a comprehensive range of services for individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities, we operate over 33 lovely homes in Delaware, Bucks, and Chester counties. Each home is a close-knit “family” where we celebrate the dignity and joy of the human spirit in daily life.

We are nurses, we are program specialists, and we are direct care professionals all working together to coordinate the best possible care for each individual. In our homes, there are an average of three individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities who receive 24 hour care, 7 days a week. Experienced nursing staff are available at any time, day or night. Our effective team approach and extensive training program allows us to care for a range of individuals, from those with intellectual disabilities, cerebral palsy, and a variety of physical disabilities to medically fragile individuals with complex needs. Tracheotomy care, stoma care, dementia care, and more are all possible in our program. We develop a unique plan for each person, emphasizing support of the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of each resident in a safe environment of opportunity. We believe that technology can play an important role in providing superior care, and so train our staff accordingly, such as the use of our electronic medical records system.

Residential Services is a place where we know our residents well, and also their families and physicians. We keep in close touch with them, as they are an important part of our plan. At CADES, we strive for collaboration and communication at all levels.
